Colombia, U.S. sign Military Cooperation Deal

Full story: uk.reuters.com

Colombia and the United States signed a pact on Friday increasing U.S. access to Colombian military bases, the Colombian government said, deepening its standing as Washington's main ally in the region. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says the pact will destabilize the region and could set the stage for a U.S.-led invasion of his oil-rich country, a claim that Bogota and Washington dismiss. Chavez is a non issue – the borders with Colombia are already closed – no oil or food is in exchange at this very moment – Venezuela will in time become another Cuba with no exports other than low grade crude that sells at half of what is stated worldwide. Add to that a blockade of pissed off importers that lost their corporate entity to nationalization and you have a starving nation in decline.

They can not even feed themselves – perhaps they can subsist on tar.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Capricorn

You're in an industrious mood but you'll be happiest if you can be left to your own devices as much as possible. It's not that you're feeling unfriendly, simply that you won't be able to concentrate very well if you're surrounded by lots of people. If you haven't even started writing your Christmas cards yet, try to remedy that at some point today.
