I personally think that it's rather inappropriate for Najib to give such comment.

every what najib and abishit did, they are both from oneworld society.. and they must knowing who is the senior among others..

but the most brilliant way is to have our economic pulse crawl beyond the northern border

it wasnt given to the thai by the brits.. it was the split of patani sultanate that established kelantan and brits did seized back from the thai..

kelantan is just a territory uunder patani sultanate.. british parliament in 1900 to 1940 always urging the colonial officer to seize the patani kigdom and put them into federated malay states .. as tengku mahmud mahyidin and hj sulong..(patani uttermost leader on that time) always contacting his allies in house of august @ london..

the thai refuce to surrender the pattani territory but trade it with perlis and langkawi to the brits... it means.. if the brits again enforcing a request on pattani...they almost get satun..

but USA finally oppose the idea of patani seizure from thai by the brits in 1945 ( because the thai violate the 19019 treaty by letting the japs attack the malaya via thailand)..

without USA intervention, pattani was already in malaysia

there is alot of option KOKO.. autonomy is another disasterous option that made to end up something in turbulence... the true way is with negotiation of having anti-asimilation transition of admin.. we perakian never took any pahangese people house or not even putrajaya official sieze any sabahan house... but putrajaya never said that they'd gave any autonomy to sabah and sarawak.. it was something constitutional and constitution is made in the parliament and the parliament always being influenced by the force of MONEY

It's good for those who understand such a way but Najib's statement could be wrongly interpreted by those Pattanis. I believe they already did.

Just speculation...
