In Sri Lanka 'truth' is in very short supply and lies have become the norm. As Lenin said; "tell a lie enough times and it becomes the truth"...he could have been talking of present day Sri Lanka.

So no! It is very hard to get to the truth and you really have to dig and delve!

The "TRUTH" is in short supply all over the world!

Are you or AI that you work for or UK, the country that you live in, part of the TRUTH? What Lenin said goes well for you as well!

I do not work for Amnesty, I have been a member for over 35 years.

I hate lies and falsehood so I make sure of my facts form various independent sources. I advise you to do the same, although if you are Emp, you are pretty good at that anyway. As to the UK government we have a free press that is not intimidated or afraid to show politicians up for what they are.

The British parliamentarians discussed about Srilanka for over 3 hours a couple of days ago. Mostly about Srilanka's war crimes and why it should be excluded from GSP plus.

Fate of ‘Alex’ in Indonesian hands – Aussie FM
November 10, 2009 10:13 am

Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith addressing a press conference yesterday in Colombo said that the fate of “Alex” lies in the hands of Indonesian Authorities. The bearded 27-year-old known as Alex emerged as the spokesman for almost 250 Tamil Sri Lankans whose boat was intercepted by the Indonesian navy en route to Australia and taken to the Javanese port of Merak.

The Foreign Minister further added that according to his knowledge Alex is a Sri Lankan.

In Toronto, police watched the news footage coming out of Indonesiaon YouTube and instantly recognized “Alex.” He was Sanjeev Kuhendrarajah. And he wasn’t a businessman with an MBA degree, as he had told reporters, he was a Toronto gang member.

Earlier, Kuhendrarajah admitted he had been deported from Canada in 2003 for violent crimes but denied allegations he was a human smuggler and asked to be brought to Australia.

The enlightened and civilized West now better informed on the brutality of SL’s human rights/war crimes support the Tamil cause with initiatives to pursue the war crimes perpetrators. The successful SL genocide is attributable to the extra-ordinary story telling capacity of Sinhala/Buddhists who fatally mislead the international community into not acting to censure with stern sanctions or war crimes when the naked brutality of SL’s state terrorism became evident in the May massacre of the resistance the world witnessed. The international community is now at pains to redress the consequences of hastily lumping the Tamil resistance (with Jihardi terrorism; the scourge of the world) to deprive the Tamils of the protection they had against SL’s brutal atrocities for over thirty years.
