Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao Another True Filipino Hero

Full story: www.philnews.com

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton flew-in a few days ago; President Barack Obama was in Japan and Singapore for the APEC Summit; Philippine President Gloria Arroyo will soon fly to China as part of Obama's 'advance team' but all anyone can talk about in these islands is Manny Pacquiao! They are all for heroisms but lacking didications as manifested by the lack of progress and unimaginable poverty and infrastructure decays.

Mexico has more than 2 or 3 or 4 or dozens boxing greats. PI is living too high on 1 hog? Sorry but you really have more important thing to do and more pressing matters to attend to.

Roach was right. Manny had just too much foot speed and accuracy. I saw the same personal realization in Cotto's eyes in the sixth round sitting in his corner as did De La Hoya. That sudden inspiration that this man is for real. No boxer of any nationality has ever won seven title belts at different weights. Correction, until now. Manny Pacquiao has accomplished what no other man in boxing history could do. Unbelievable.

WOW..SUPERB! Unbelievable fight. Pacquiao is fantastic, he moves so fast! Cotto is good too, a heart of a warrior. Won't let himself be knocked out.
God Cotto's face is so beaten up and he might need blood transfusion, but he won't give up.

The Rev. Michael Sinnott, the 79-year-old Irish missionary priest who was recently released from a month of jungle captivity in the south by suspected Muslim rebels, said his kidnappers had been eager to set him free because they wanted to also watch the Pacquio-Cotto match.

“‘Your freedom is our freedom. We don’t want to be here for a long time, too, and we want to watch Pacquiao’s fight,”’ Sinnott told the CBCPNews, the news service of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), quoting his kidnappers.

Cotto's battered face shows that Manny hates handsome face, like what he did with those ex boxers whom he battered. Hatton, he hated him so much he had to knock him down saving his face. LOL!

Eva, I love those 3 ladies who sung Bayang Magiliw. Wow, they sung it beatifully. Are they from PI?

But the one who sung the US Anthem is a Filipino.

In northern Baguio city, which was hit by massive landslides and floods by another storm in early October, one collector had to return 200,000 pesos ($8,400) to bettors because not one placed a wager on Cotto.

Southern Davao city’s streets were virtually deserted and Mayor Rodrigo Duterte canceled his regular radio program to watch the fight.

The Pac Man is by far the greatest fighter in the world. He has 7 championship belts now in 7 different weight divisions. I think he is the best the world has ever had , bar none!!
