The powers that be, all of them communists, have decided to place trees and bushes in greater importance their fellow country men.
Save a tree, let a family starve. This type of thinking is whatin the past has made all of the communist countries such prosperous places. If you scratch an environmentalist's skin you will discover a communist. Invironmentalists = communisists. They have the same goal, they just had to change their colors. The red became green. |

Trees provide food for humans and animals. Moreover, other plants and wild animals, if harvested sustainably, they can also be used to nourish entire villages. Therefore, by saving them, people will have more food to eat.
So, protecting forests is not only about saving wildlife it is about improving people`s living standards. We are all interconected in this web of life. Furthermore, in the Atlantic Forest there could be new species that could be used to create innovative drugs for diseases, new sources of textiles, not to mention the eco-toursim opportunities that await such a majestic and historical Forest!! Bravo Paraguay, Argentina y Brasil!!!!! |

Dear Yamanekoman;
When was the last time that you ate a tree? If you believe that they are so good to eat, I suggest that you start eating them now, before they are gone. I will happily give you my share of them. Zandor is an omnivour, he is not a tree eating idiot. By the way, aren't the tree huggers against harvesting trees? What will you eat then? Dirt? But then, by doing that, you will be destroying mother earth, won't you? Do you see where your argument leads? |

Dear Zandor:
I am sorry if didn`t express myself explicitly. I was refering to the act of eating fruits from trees and harvesting plant species that can be used as food, as well as animals that live in forests. I respect your point of view. We should listen to all opinions coming from as many diverse places and cultural backgrounds as possible. But we should especially take into account the concerns of indigenous people. They were here long before the Portuguese, Spanish and other Europeans arrived to the Americas. Moreover, I would like to know why you think saving a tree would equal to the starvation of a family and in your opinion, what should be done with the Atlantic Forest? |

Thank god not everyone in the world is as stupid as Zandor.
I'm not sure where he has been all his life, but obviously he has not been out into the real world very often. I know MANY environmentalists - professional people- and none are communists. I guess it's just Zandor's phobia of communism, about which he clearly knows nothing judging by other posts. Zandor will be happy if they cut down every tree and totally rape the land to 'feed' the people. What happens when its all destroyed? I am sure his mental miopia doesn't allow him to think that far. Sustainable development is required, not outright destruction for short term profits. |
