1 Forced to pay criminal prices driven to gouging heights due to commodity speculation which only benefitted 1) Oil companies and 2) Gov't revenues through gas tax Meanwhile we were being fed the bullshit of "supply and demand" and only now, after it has gone down like the Hindenburg in flames, have any in the gov't even said now what they most definately knew then, that it was a commodity speculative bubble. But of course that didn't stop them from lying about it. We paid for it. And still are. About a year and a half ago the price of fuel was almost pegged to the price of crude. Around the 1.00/litre mark for crude at world prices around 90/bbl. Today still paying anywhere ranging from .92-.96/litre for crude at 61/bbl. The ripoff still continues, and of course, the gov't can find "no evidence" of any gouging. And they still espouse the mantra of the "free market" giving the consumer "competition" and "better product cheaper". That is as long as it's not one of your CRONEY LOBBYISTS (better known as GETTIN GREASED) that have to supply that bunch of propaganda in it's reality to the people. |

1 MMmm yes, close some refineries, choke the supply down, artificially manipulate the supply so you can use it as an excuse. Wait a minute, I thought the world needed all the fuel it could get, it was the mantra of big oil and govt, as overheated bubble economies GOUGED THE F out of people with rising fuel, living and accomodation prices. Sort of blows the crap right out of that myth the gov't blew up our asses. |

1 On another front. UK envoy to Russia caught screwing prostitutes on tape. That's what gov't is good for, screwing us, and using taxpayer dollars to get laid. It says that the high quality of the video seems to beg the notion that the "security services" (Federal Security Bureau?) caught this fat sweaty UK bureaucrat sampling Russian wares. I've seen the actual video of this pig probably cavorting on the UK dime, but won't post it here. ---------- http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...envoy-... UK envoy quits after sex video surfaces on Russia websiteBuzz up! Digg it Luke Harding in Moscow guardian.co.uk, Thursday 9 July 2009 18.31 BST Article history A British diplomat in Russia has resigned after allegedly being filmed having sex with two prostitutes, in a classic sting operation apparently masterminded by the country's security services. James Hudson quit as deputy consul general in Yekaterinburg after the video – entitled Adventures of Mr Hudson in Russia – mysteriously surfaced on a local website. The film, lasting four minutes and 18 seconds, appears to show Hudson entering a brothel. He lies down on a sofa, opens a bottle of champagne and cavorts with two blonde women in their underwear. The video then shows him having sex with both women. As well as prostitutes, the website accused the 37-year-old diplomat of gambling and taking "light drugs" – hinting it had further damaging material. The high quality of the video suggests that this was the work of professionals, and not amateurs. The security services have a track record of such endeavours. British diplomats arriving in Russia are routinely briefed about the dangers of entrapment and told to avoid nightclubs and other compromising situations. Today the Foreign Office refused to comment directly on the case, but a spokesman said: "We expect all of our employees to abide by the highest standards of conduct. We take all allegations of inappropriate behaviour seriously. I'm not in a position to comment on individual cases." |
