It is so very sad to view Haiti's present condition. I view the present after having benn involved in vasrious ways over the last 48 years.

There is no quick-fix for Haiti. They need accountable leadership whose first quality is integrity. The leadership must have one agenda....working on behalf of the peoplein this needy land. This would bring stability, which would in turn bring industry to Haiti. The labor market is there. Along side of the industry, there should be reputable wage, not $2.75 per day.

Chet,

I can't help but wonder. I am a Haitian citizen myself. I am only 35, so I was not exposed to the Haiti of 50 odd years ago. I recently saw footage of what it was like on youtube. Fascinating! Third world, but still fascinating at the time.

I also saw flyers for cruises being advertised and the main destinations were Haiti and Panama Canal.

Give me some feedback

Nothing will change in Haiti unless we form an organization here, return to Haiti and take control of our land. I envision an organization similar to Hezbollah or Hamas with its own economic and well as security apparatus. I have come to admire middle Eastern people for their honor, discipline, and integrity, something Haitians uset to possess before they began to follow western culture. Now they are seem as filty animal, force to eat dirt by the United Nations and the International Community. we have destroy the legacy of our forefathers and until it is restored, the misery will increase exponentially.
