(from WBIR.com )
A Walters State Community College student has reported being abducted on campus by a stranger and later raped off-campus.

The victim, a 40-year-old woman, reports that she was attacked on Monday afternoon at 4:15. She told police an unknown subject forced her into the back of her vehicle and drove her off-campus. After sexually assaulting her, the man drove her back to campus, exited the vehicle, and left on foot. The attack lasted 15 minutes.

The woman went to Claiborne County Hospital to be seen by a physician and reported the attack Monday evening. The police report indicates she suffered minor injuries.

The police report does not indicate the presence of a gun or any known weapon type. Morristown Police are investigating.

I was skeptical of this when I first heard this.

Couple things.

I think when she was "assaulted" she was too scared go to hospital or call police, until she got closer home she finally went.(probably explain why she went to Clairborne County hospital)Some women have history of not reporting rapes and assault.

I always felt safe on Walters-State's campus. I cannot believe it happen. If she parked by library with car far away from library, I can see how it easy to drive up to a woman walking alone and abduct her. But on baseball field side there usually more cars and some form of foot traffic. 4pm the place isn't "dead" but most of people that are there are inside of buildings.

Walters-state campus police will escort students from building to car if they are taking late night class. I was told this last summer when I took a night class that ended at 9pm.

wow...this is scary...i was on campus that day around 530 going to library and i was kinda concerned when i left because it was so dark going down those steps i could barely see where to step...they really need to get some more lights in that area! Which parking lot did this happen at? I think it will be worse when they open up that new building they are working on...its going to be a study hall open 24-7, so WSCC will def have to up the security!!

Well, those dumbass cameras might actually be useful for something other than revenue generation, it should be a simple matter to review footage around that time to see if that car came or went and who was in it.

On the news they mentioned that he drove her up to the mall, where apparently the assault occurred.

The Citizen Tribune says:

The student told investigators that an unknown man abducted her from the Walters State parking lot. The man drove to her to an unknown location and allegedly raped her. He then returned her to the College Square parking lot.

The woman, who lives in Claiborne County, drove to the Claiborne County Hospital for an examination.

I hope that this story is not true. I had class there on Monday and get out late. Never felt to threatened before. But they do need more lights in the court yards. Kinda scary.

Her story is so full of holes it could be Swiss cheese.
Women that do stuff like this make it hard on women that really get raped plus they make to school look bad and cause unnecessary worry on other female students.
She should be jailed and forced to publicly apologize plus have to pay for any costs incurred by anyone because of her story.
Has her name been released yet?
They usually don't release the names of sexual assault victims.

I just hope her (supposedly) attacker didn't have any STD's or leave her a little present cooking in the oven... But I do not understand how she could be subdued by an attacker with out a weapon... Wow.. Women aren't as strong as men but c'mon how do you not fight for your life... It does sound fishy...
But if this woman is scutinized to much over her story it could turn into a whole womans right issue and police have to tread very lighlty with a rape victim...

But the do the ones that make up the story like this one did.
I was told by one of the guards at school today that they had proof that she made it up. They confornted her with it and she said she would not talk any more till she spoke with a lawyer.
If she really made it up then that is pathetic. This seems to happen more and more often where women lie about being raped. It's a terrible thing when somebody actually does get raped but I wanna know why so many LOW-LIFES lie about getting raped ? Anybody know ? Is it for attention or what ?

Yes they may release her name if they do in fact prove it isn't true, but they haven't proven that yet. So at this point as far as most of us know she is a victim. Did they ever release the ladys name from GA that had a internet relationship with a man & they came up to PF to stay in a cabin & ordered pizza & when pizza boy came he saw her tied to bed & she said help me. That was all made up , but I can't remember if they ever released her name. Does anyone else know?

Tonight's news on Channel 6, I believe said that he put some object in her back that felt like a gun and forced her into the back seat of her own car. O.K. So he did the deed, then drove her to the Mall, got out of the car and WALKED away? And she CANNOT give a physical description of him except he was heavy, and he MIGHT have had a beard? Excuse me. If you're in the car with a person that long, wouldn't you have a pretty good idea of what he looked like? This story is full of holes for sure.

As a woman I cannot understand why another would lie of such a terrific event. I do however think that those who do, are doing something they shouldn't and this is the only way to cover it up.. Stupid thing to do... Falsifying a police report.. Our wasted tax dollars...

Yes they released the name of the couple from Georgia. My question is if they have proof she made this up why are they still talking about it on the news and in between news cast? If a guard at the campus released info about this is that not private info until released from officers.

There was a woman in Knox who claimed to be pulled over by a man posing as a police officer, said she was raped, gave unreal details. Later admitted she lied.

What about the one in Sevierville that claimed she was kidnapped and raped. It was all a lie too.

Thing is when trashy women do stuff like this then it makes people and the police doubt when someone is actually telling the truth. She should be charged with the same crime she made up somebody done. Sounds harsh but it would break people from doing stuff like that.

Most women just do it for attention anyway. Put her in jail and her cellie can give her all the attentions he needs.

Daily Horoscope for November 27

Libra

If you had a bad day with your partner yesterday, today is the day to kiss and make up. The Moon blends with Neptune to create a romantic passion; this may be a little over the top, but sometimes a bit of drama is in order. Those of you with children may find them acting up, but if you listen closely, you'll find they really just want and need your attention.
