A shady side of the foot-ball match between the Faroe Islands and France, played on Breton soil, in Guingamp (Breton : Gwenngamp)is that Breton flags were forbidden to appear. They were forcibly confiscated at the entrance to the stadium. Brittany, an independent country invaded by the French in 1488 and 1491, retained some form of autonomy until the French Revolution. Then, we were deprived of all our rights as a nation. Brittany is the size of Denmark and the French are in great fear of the independence movements.
