We are sick and tired of hearing about building micro dams. Issayas let food aid coming in to our people, because the money aid you have been spending for the last few years failed to improove the life of people. I just came back from a long holiday in my country, and felt sad that people are working so hard with insuficient food in their stomach and God only knows for how long this is going to continue.
I wish God to bring freedom, human degnity and adequet food to Eritrean people

All that we need is to work for it no beg for it! Get real, beggining didn't help the rest of Africa, so we are not going to be like them. We will try something different, something that will make a difference.

You might be "sick and tired of hearing about building mico dams," but the people of Eritrea are not. That is their daily survival mechanism you talking about. That is what will help them when the rain stops, as they always do. It is now the time to get ready for them not when they are in dire straits. If you want to wish something, wish that God will send rain and the micro dams will fill so that people can use them. You can help by sending money to your family and to those who you think will be helped by it.

Food aid is a weapon of dominance. self reliance had never been accepted by any of the western countries, the us aid the world bank the IMF always goes against funds that promise self reliance and sustainable developments. Why? Cause they can’t control the affairs of a country that is self reliant. I can bring you many evidences from 3rd world countries that had the challenges.

Moreover what assistance is offered by the west in terms of education in terms of infrastructure in terms of food aid and all. Lets discuss it one by one if you are interested and I can prove you that each funds that are offered are not aimed to give permanent solutions to Eritrea. All of the funds are designed to have continuance in their nature.

India is a very example of self reliant policy beneficiary. India actually suffered a great deal of economical turmoil since independence. India chose to close its doors and chose to suffer poverty and a great famine in the 70th after 30 years of a long struggle to become independent and self reliant nation. They had been challenged and ridiculed by the world for closing their doors, they were starving but they built ever sector of their economy. in the 90th when India was fully adequate to participate in global trades and international trade agreements India opened its doors to the world, their long bitter struggle had finally paid off in the 90th they have tackled the most difficult economical problems they are still going towards progress.
