Fritzl Says He Knew He Was Hurting His Daughter, "it Was Like An Addiction"

Joseph Fritzl says he knew Elizabeth did not want him to do what he was doing to her - having sex with her - but it was "like an addiction". We added that he wanted to have children with her. via MediLexicon

Human beings are the most dangerous kind in this world. I read this news 4 days ago on the internet and since that day I feel like I cannot breath.

I hope his cell mates in prison will KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH him !

My mother was abused by my birth father when she was pregnant with me. He punched her after she confronted him about another woman that he had been sleeping around with, and about draining her banking account (she was working 2 jobs at the time). After he punched her, she pulled herself together and went downstairs to the kitchen. He continued to get ready for his date with his other woman, while my mother had dumped two buckets of crisco frying oil in two pots and boiling water in a third. When he came downstairs, she threw the crisco on him, and the water. He, of course, was screaming, but still moving, so she took a broom and started beating him. They lived on base in an apartment at the time (my birth father was in the military). A couple of soldiers ran upstairs b/c of all of the screaming to find their friend/coworker on the floor, in a pile of grease, screaming.

The army put him took him to the hospital. My mother showed up with a gun and said that she was 8 months pregnant and that if she didn't get her money back she was going to shoot everyone in there. She also told them that if any one of them touched her that she was going straight to the news to tell them how the Army was mistreating a pregnant woman.

They took an advance from his paycheck for the next 9 months, packed up her stuff and sent her back to Texas. He survived. Never paid child support. I got a call from him recently saying that he wants to be a part of my life...now that I"m an engineer...ha.

Don't mess with Texas (or the women from Texas).

Elisabeth should have thrown boiling hot water on that a-hole. She had a boiling plate.

I wish all the best for her and her children.

Didem - Istanbul / Turkey
Hi Didem, it's nice to see someone from Istanbul finally posted a comment! I've been following-up on this horror story since it broke down in the news. Joseph has been beaten to death each day of his childhood by his demonic mother. He's been committing rapes and assault since he was a teenager. He's been in jail many times before and had a long criminal record. The Austrian authorities just looked the other way. They let him get away with very light sentences and erased all his criminal records after 15 years. They let him build a dungeon up to a much bigger dimension than it was legally allowed. Never checked on him. They have not investigated enough to find where Elizabeth was. They let him adopt and take custody of 3 babies he said were left at his door. Austria is not such a big and crowded country like Turkey. Only 8.3 million in population what's that as much as Izmir??? Look at now, they will let him get the lightest sentence again, 15 years!! if they can prove he killed the baby he threw in the furnace and if Kerstin dies at the hospital, he may get 20. His lawyer will get him out and he will spend the rest of his life in a psycho rehab.center. He will never get the punishment he really deserves! That's why there are so many pedophiles and rapists in those countries... that's really a shame, I pity all the women and children who live in those countries.........

Whoa! you go girl! But, I'm surprised they didn't lock her up for assult. They would do that now if anyone assults anyone. You can't touch a hair on anyone's head round these parts. I'm glad for it. But, I'd be happier if there was less violence and more serious incarcerations. They go in, they come out. I'm wondering if that's pretty much the way it is around the world.

Yep, a woman do that today and she will end up in trouble... an maybe in prison for assault. Cops are not taking that crap from with spouse now. IT's a good thing.

If a man mistreats his spouse she can call the police and have him removed from the home. If it's disrespect she can kick him out or leave herself.

Yeah, that was in the Late 70s.(78). I doubt if she could get away with something like that now. I wish there were less violence too. I wonder what causes people to react violently. Hopefully, psychologist can figure that out one day...

Oh my gosh that is beautiful! So glad to see a picture like that. I too hope and pray Kerstin survives. I pray everyday for them. I'm still having a bit of trouble sleeping. Here is a cool pic of Florida's spring

This is really how it looks on the coast. No filters. You should also see the natural springs we have here as well. I love the water but love to travel and see other beautiful places. We go fishing off the west coast every chance we can get.

Sometimes I wonder if with the advances in technology, it's too stressful. Most people can cope but perhaps some just can't. Don't worry. I'm not making excuses for the inexcusable. But I look around and I see young children staring at TVs and game boys, and not interacting with one another. I see people that do this, have a harder and harder time realizing what is happening around them in the world. They can't seem to have proper conversations. You go over a persons house and you should have meaningful conversation. Sometimes, what happens is that everyone starts to look at the TV. TV babysitters for the kids. Our societies getting numb from the visual violence they see on the TV set. Maybe some of that is numbing people to the effects of abuse on others. I don't know. It's just a thought. I'm glad I have good friends that engage in conversations, fun barbaques, swimming in the pool, volleyball in the backyard, fishing on the west coast of Florida and all the good things of life. And curling up next to my husband with a good book at night. I love my life. I wish to God Elizabeth had that life too. I hope see can get a taste of it. Some semblence of it.

I visit Florida about every year or two since I have a lot of family there. We go to Marco Island a lot... I love it... we rent a villa right on the beach.
