The Russian side operates to prepare a new meeting of presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Russian president's assistant Sergey Prihodko said, RIA Novosti reported.

Armenia's mood concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement has been considerably improved, said Matthew Bryza, the U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minks Group before his visit to Baku from Yerevan, where the mediators held the talks on the Karabakh settlement yesterday.

The Moscow meeting will show weather it is possible to advance in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists on July 9.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict does not have a military way of solution, U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza believes, News-Armenia reported.

Leaders of Russia, the United States and France can adopt a statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh at the G8 summit at L'Aquila, Assistant to the Russian president Arkadiy Dvorkovich told journalists, RIA Novosti reported.

The Yerevan conference discusses consequences of the financial crisis for Armenia. Proposals will be put forward at the end of the conference to reduce consequences of the crisis for the country, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) released.

Azerbaijani continues to work over the resolution on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement which the country has submitted to the United Nations Organization, Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to UN Agshin Mehdiyev told journalists at the international conference on the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on July 8.

The demographics of Armenia once showed the Azeris as the majority in the country with a ratio of roughly 80 percent Azeri and 20 percent Armenian.

In the same year as the Treaty of Turkmenchay was adopted (1828), the Armenian Oblast was created. Between 1828 to 1840 the Armenian Oblast was established by the Russian Empire to further accelerate the settlement of Christian Armenians into Azerbaijani Khanates.

The following years massive persecution, massacres and deportations of Azerbaijanis followed.

By 1832 only half of the total population of the Erivan Khanate remained Azerbaijani. Only 5 years after the creation of the Armenian Oblast.
