Full story: The Columbian

North Korea is "seriously interested" in releasing two convicted American journalists but first wants the United States to acknowledge what Pyongyang sees as their "hostile acts," a U.S.-based scholar who visited Pyongyang said Saturday.

100m on NORTH side of N/S Korea border... MELT anything that even THINKS of moving South.

Hit PingPong, with a serve to end stale-mate game.

Drop water-soluble leaflets throughout NK, explaining NEW system, to come and tyranny is OVER.

Make sure China is ready with beefed-up border control.

Let SK figure out what they want to do with their newly acquired sewer possession. making sure China, USA and Japan are OK with the plans. Agree w/ China that NK will not be a militarized zone for the SK, if China agrees a safe-zone in China also.

Make NK a "joint-venture zone" for SK and Chinese companies. Maintain border control for NK and SK for 5 years, contingent on NK economic advances. Governance to be regional with joint SK/NK personnel, and heavy education of "western" government systems, with certain Chinese optimizations. You can't change that level of repression in 5 years. Eastern Germany is still slightly behind the West, as there are STILL residuals of the old ways, and that will be true in NK for at least 10-20 years to come.

These kinds of provocative actions by a dictatorship, make it easy for the free world to coalesce against North Korea. It is clearly up to the U.N. now to enforce new sanctions with teeth in them -- found a cool site; www.tinyurl.com/dgbjlz ; incredible satellite view of earth

North Korea has no incentive to free the Americans, who is going to pressure them? Pres Obama? He is too busy on his apology tour around the world while congress is bankrupting the government on the Pelosi Socialist agenda. Send the US Navy to surround them and choke their nation until they hand over the journalist. If that doesnt work, then bomb the great leaders palace (not obama, talkin about Kim Jung Il)

Obama's approach is not the "bring 'em on" mentality, which is refreshing, and may keep many more American lives away from war. It is easy to send your child into war as long as I, ormy child doesn't have to go. Obama is not on an apology tour, although, we citizens have a lot fo apologizing to do for the actions of our CIA's covert mingling in other countries' affairs. Any well read citizen knows this, and should find it a breath of fresh air that we are trying to change our worlwiide strutting our arrogance. We can be tough with an softer approach. We can be maintain our military might using a little more diplomatic finesse. We can't continue to walk around like john Wayne character pushing people around, backing them into corners. It is clear, when lil ol' Georgie boy cowardly Bush boldly stated, with that smirk on his face from the safety of his platform in this country, "bring 'em on." he knew they wouldn't bring em on him. They would bring em on someone else at a distance he was not able to watch. Obama is taking the right approach, and should make our country more safe in the future after all the blowback from the Bush days are over. Give Obama time. It took over three decades to get this country to the depth it is, and make the enemies it has. it is the Bush family that America needs to be upset with, and stop defending them to the point of nausea. Obama has only been in office six months. Takes a long time to clean up after 30 years of purposeful destruction, and pissing people off. Give the man time.

Send Big Al Gore over there. They're his employees. I don't see Mr. Green doing much for them. If Obama takes much more time the reporters will be dead.

What has the world every done for the US. I could care less what the world thinks about US. All I know is that we are the most generous nation in the world and when a country is in trouble they always come to the US for help and we opening give and give. Obama and his sheep followers are a disgrace to the greatest nation in the world. Throw the OBAMA congress out of office in 2010 and throw OBAMA out in 2014. The sooner the better. The world is laughing at us and we have Obama to thank for that.

This is bogas reporting.

These spies deserve the harshest penalties.

Let the Chinese handle them with their system of justice.

The captured islamic terrorists currently awaiting trial in USA will be set free. Your U.S. muslim president will see to it. He can identify with them.

Afterall, he publicly stated there are NO MUSLIM TERRORISTS.
He said there are only those who hate muslims, for groundless reasons.
