The article seems pretty clear. It says that road construction machinery is believed to have pierced the pipeline. The article also mentions that local gangsters frequently rupture the pipelines in order to steal fuel. Shell Oil isn't in the business of constructing roadways in suburban townships, nor is it in the business of funding gangsters to rob pipelines of fuel. That would be against Shell's financial interests.

Sounds like a hot time in the old town tonight.

4. TAKE AWAY BY DEFAULT AL GORES LIAR PIECE TROPHY PRIZE
5. BUILD 50 NEW REFINERIES
6. TAP INTO ALASKA AND THE MID WEST AND OFF SHORE AND GET THAT OIL.

All of this will create millions of Americans jobs directly not including indirect jobs associated with it all.

For instance, charge only them fifty dollars a gallon to encourage fuel conservation. They can subsidize the rest of us, who need to get to work to make some money.

Its time we put our technology and good sense to use and lower our demand for oil. It can be done and we can still drive our cars and light our homes. Its pathetic our government can't get a policy together and show some real leadership on this issue. Simply asking the saudi's to pump more oil solves nothing. We have 100 mpg engine designs sitting on the shelves. We have huge solar, nuclear, coal, and wind potential. And we have much more efficent power saving technologies just waiting to be put into mass production.

It's really sad.
