The Seasiders find themselves sitting in 23rd place after six games, with just a single point to show for their efforts, courtesy of a goalless draw against the recently promoted Wolves. Prior to the stalemate at Bloomfield Road, the Tangerines had lost their first five games in the league to the likes of Millwall, Wigan and Brentford, as well as crashing out of the Capital One Cup, losing 1-0 to Shrewsbury Town away from home.

Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes (centre) rises to head home his side's second goal of the game

IT was fitting on the day that singer-songwriter Reece Bibby wowed the crowds at a sun-kissed Ewood Park that Ben Marshall produced a performance that did much to suggest that he can provide the X Factor for Gary Bowyer this season. Accrington teenager and big Rovers fan Bibby got Lancashire Day off to a rousing start when he treated supporters to some of the songs he hopes will win favour with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Co in the countdown to Christmas.

Bowyer: Black is Wigan's biggest threat

BLACKBURN Rovers boss Gary Bowyer believes the biggest danger to his side today will not come from any of Wigan Athletic's multi-million pound signings - but from one his predecessors in the Ewood Park hotseat.
