Gilani for probe
Asking the government to make departments concerned answerable for not reporting flood and weather situation to the government, former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani demanded the government on Thursday to order inquiry into non-implementation of recommendations made by flood commission constituted to investigate 2010 floods. Talking to the journalists here at Muhammadpur Ghota after visiting flood-hit areas, he added that the flood commission compiled a detailed report on 2010 floods and made recommendations but they were not implemented.
Political gurus for avoiding confrontation
Political gurus including a former prime minister have advised the government, Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to avoid political confrontation and find out political ways to resolve current political crisis for continuation of democracy in Pakistan.
Zardari convenes party meeting in Dubai today
In view of the current political turmoil in Pakistan, the de facto Chairman of the PPP, Asif Ali Zardari has convened a meeting of party's core committee in Dubai on Wednesday to devise a strategy to respond to the emerging situation.

Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday warned that Martial Law could not be ruled out if violence erupts in the Federal capital due to presence of PTI and PAT protesters there.
