Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, lines seem to have crossed in that this local authority was actually situated at item three, the Cathedral Quarter Hotel on the opposite side of the road.

    Daniel Hyams, 29, of West Avenue, Sandiacre, was jailed for 16 months, while Michael Hyams, 31, of Oxford Street, Long Eaton , was sentenced to 18 months. The victim suffered concussion and needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted outside the Lockstone pub, in Market Place, in the early hours of March 29 last year.

    Police are hunting two suspects alleged to have snatched thousands of pounds from the bags of elderly victims - some of whom were as old as 92. The force believes the pair are linked to at least seven incidents in Nottinghamshire over the past three months, as well as several similar offences in Derbyshire. The vulnerable victims have all been targeted shortly after they have visited cash machines, building societies, banks or post offices to withdraw cash.
