The script, also signed by Walter Shenson, producer of "A Hard Day's Night," was originally supposed to be the third film in a three-picture deal with United Artists that also resulted in the making of "Help!," the Beatles ' second film, and later "Let It Be." According to the auction house, British writer and actor Owen Holder was commissioned to develop the story for the film.
