    Romanian border police of the Husi and Berezeni sector - eastern Vaslui County, tracked 15 Afghans and Syrians who were attempting to illegally enter Romania crossing the Prut River. According to a release issued to Agerpres by the Iasi Border Police Territorial Service, 13 people - five men, two women and six children - of Afro-Asian origin were tracked down near the border locality of Chersacosu, close to the Prut River, and another two Syrian citizens aged 39 and 40 were detected with the thermographic vision equipment near the Vetrisoaia locality, as they were attempting to illegally enter Romania from the Republic of Moldova, with the intention to get to Germany.

This was confirmed by a Chevropn representative who spoke for the Mediafax agency in Bucharest, noting that the decision was made after the evaluation of the project in Romania, "which currently is not competitive compared to others within the company."
