    FORMER Silay City village chief Noel Ayalin was convicted by the Regional Trial Court Monday for the massacre that claimed the lives of four barangay officials and injured three others in their village of Kapitan Ramon exactly four years ago this month. In a 37-page decision, Silay City RTC Branch 69 Judge Felipe Banzon found Ayalin guilty for four counts of qualified direct assault with murder and was sentenced to a penalty of reclusion perpetua, or a maximum of 40 years of imprisonment, for each count.
