    Snakes are the interesting one, all the others are rigid and you don't lose site of which is the business end, but snakes wrap and twist around you and it's easy to lose sight subconsciously of what part you're trying to avoid. Also come time to let go of them the others you can just fling them away, but the snake usually ends up wrapped all around your hand and hard to shake off without a lasting reminder.

    I saw in China an almost-as-horrifying job: Plastic parts being molded between two dies as big as this, as big as cars. When the moving one pulled-away , a guy had to reach between and pick-out any parts and spiders that had not ejected, but he had to do so fast, as the machine was on an automatic cycle.
