    From the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council yesterday, Mayor's office issues moratorium on location filming in Prospect Heights : Due to the efforts of Community Board 8 relaying numerous community complaints regarding excessive filming in Prospect Heights, the Mayor's Office of Film, Theater, and Broadcasting has agreed to impose a moratorium on filming in Prospect Heights for the next six months. The moratorium will be effective beginning February 1, 2015, but will not include projects that are already contracted.

    Last Friday, the developers of Pacific Park Brooklyn circulated a Community Notice indicating "Temporary Changes to the Roadway Network on Atlantic Avenue, Sixth Avenue, and Pacific Street Starting on December 30th or 31st, 2014." These changes, notably the shift in crossing Atlantic Avenue from the west side to the east side of Sixth Avenue, were noticed--though the days weren't specified--in the previous Construction Update .

After all, a fact sheet had already been distributed with details about the project, including the request for up to $73 million in tax-exempt bonds, which save the builder significant sums compared to conventional financing, and are part of the financing for affordable units.

    According to a notice from the New York City Housing Development Corporation, there will be a hearing next Monday, November 17, on tax-exempt bonds for 535 Carlton Avenue , the all-affordable Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park rental tower planned at the corner of Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues and the first to be built by Greenland Forest City Partners. The $75 million request will be one of 39 bonding issues to be considered at the hearing, which starts at 11:30 am, in the conference room at NYC HDC office, 110 William Street, 10th Floor, in Manhattan.
