We're less than a week from national Signing Day and after going 4-20 with only two wins over FBS programs in the last two years, there is not a huge buzz about Purdue recruiting. 14. Rest-of-Season Speculation and Nonsensical ForecastingRead the original story

    Thursday Jan 29 | Hammer & Rails

I know it's foolish to try to look at the rest of the season and pick which games are wins and losses, especially with our Boilers, as many times they'll lose to teams they shouldn't and turn around and beat teams they shouldn't. But after a disappointing collapse @Illinois followed by consecutive home wins over Top 25/marginal Top 25 teams in Iowa and IU, where do we stand this season? If you believe, like many on this site including myself, that a 20-11 overall and 12-6 B1G record, with likely 2 wins in the B1G tourney is the key to getting to the NCAA tourney, then we still have a long way to go.

    Thursday Jan 29 | Hammer & Rails

Beating top 25 teams in consecutive games will do wonders for an NCAA profile. 20. Bad Purdue Team Blows Out Great IU TeamRead the original story

    Wednesday Jan 28 | Hammer & Rails

It's incredibly disappointing and frustrating that this team let a bad Purdue team drill them twice in a row. Listen, Purdue played incredibly tonight, and I give them heaps and heaps of credit for how they performed, but that does not change that Purdue is likely missing the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, are ranked in mid-70s on KenPom and don't possess any great wins.
