    Senior Emina Bektas of the University of Michigan women's tennis team was the unanimous pick for Big Ten Tennis Athlete of the Year while senior Sarah Lee , junior Ronit Yurovsky and freshman Alex Najarian joined Bektas on the All-Big Ten team announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Bektas is the second player in U-M history to repeat as Big Ten Athlete of the Year, joining Denise Muresan who accomplished the feat in 2009-10 and 2010-11.

Most of the U-M squad will head to Irvine, where the two-day meet will be hosted at Anteater Track, while 10-12 distance Wolverines will travel directly to Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field for distance events on Saturday only.
