    Miami University junior guard Eric Washington was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 14 Second Team as voted on by member coaches, the organization announced on Friday morning. Washington, who also was a second-team All-MAC selection, averaged 14.2 points per game and 5.5 assists per game for the RedHawks during the season.

The RedHawks will face the Buffalo Bulls on Friday, March 27 at the UB Tennis Center, before taking on the Akron Zips on Sunday, March 29 at the LaTuchie Tennis Center with both matches beginning at 1 p.m. Miami started conference action last weekend with two home victories that saw ranked opponents go down and long winning streaks continue.

First up on Friday is a doubleheader at Central Michigan starting at 1 p.m. The RedHawks will then have single games against Eastern Michigan on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Miami returns home to host Eastern Kentucky in a non-conference single game on Tuesday at 6 p.m. MAC UPDATE: As the 12 MAC teams enter in league play, Miami finds itself as one of only three schools with winning records so far in 2015.

    Capping an impressive season, Miami University women's sophomore diver Pei Lin finished second in the three-meter dive in the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships Friday evening, marking the best finish at an NCAA meet by RedHawk women's swimmer or diver in program history. Lin was seeded fifth after preliminaries earlier Friday afternoon with a score of 366.85 points, but came back with a powerful performance in the finals that left her trailing the national champion by a mere 0.55 points.
