Partain played on the Silsbee varsity baseball team as a freshman, working as a pitcher and infielder. The starting quarterback of a Texas high school football team, one that graduated a three-year starter that amassed over 6,500 yards of total offense and 65 touchdowns, is a bit bigger profile however.
