Macbeth , which stars Marion Cotillard and Michael Fassbender and is Kurzel's second feature, after the explosive Snowtown , will join George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road - already announced as screening out of competition - on the Croisette in May. Not all the films screening in competition have been announced yet and the separate Directors' Fortnight and Critics' Week seasons have yet to announce their programmes, but this year's Cannes is already a red-letter edition for Australian filmmaking.
