Holiday decorations valued at $100 were taken from a yard in the 6200 block of South Swift Avenue prior to 5 a.m. Nov. 30. Two auto batteries and a gas grill were taken from a yard in the 3900 block of East Edgerton Avenue overnight Nov. 29-30.

    A stereo and amplifier valued at $200 were taken from a car in a locked garage in the 3700 block of East Adams Avenue between Oct. 1 and 5. A 34-year-old Milwaukee man unsuccessfully tried to steal two bottles of liquor with combined value of $57 from Walgreens, 3201 E. Layton Ave., and was arrested for retail theft at 6:53 p.m. Oct. 12. He told police that "it was his birthday and he wanted to get drunk." A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct at 10:38 p.m. Oct. 14 after she attempted to choke a technician at St. Luke's South Shore Hospital, 5901 S. Lake Dr. The woman had been brought in by Milwaukee police due to a possible overdose.

The trio was stopped within minutes by St. Francis police for driving erratically.
