    This recipe came from the Huffington Post's Taste page, and I have modified it just slightly, avoiding chicken stock in favor of beef or vegetable stock. We don't use enough vegetable stock as it is, and I think that in a very strongly-flavored, savory beef stew we will not suffer any diminution of flavor if we use vegetable stock.
