    An Edison High School teacher who was shot at the school last year and his wife are suing Fresno Unified School District and employees for negligence, and the superintendent specifically for malice and oppression for allegedly referring to the teacher as a "knucklehead" after the shooting. In the lawsuit filed Monday in Fresno County Superior Court, Steven and Isabelle Guerrero allege that because of a number of factors - a janitor left a door unlocked while cleaning, staff did not receive proper safety training, and outdoor lighting on the Edison campus was inadequate - youths were able to enter the school with a gun and rifle and get into the athletic training area where they bludgeoned Guerrero on the head and shot him twice.
