Concord, a former sheriff's deputy with the Winston County Sheriff's Office, approached the woman in July 2013 promising her a supply of pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in meth manufacturing, if she would cook the product.

    Governor Robert Bentley has awarded grants to help fund programs that provide assistance to survivors of domestic abuse in several Alabama counties. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs says Bentley awarded more than $38,750 to the Marion County Commission to support a program that helps prosecute domestic violence cases in Marion and Winston counties.
