    A 68-year-old Farmington man involved in a head-on car crash on U.S. Highway 550 in Sandoval County died at an Albuquerque hospital on Dec. 22. Jack Mills was driving a silver Chevrolet Corvette south on U.S. 550 at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 18 when he was struck by a Chevrolet Impala that had strayed into the southbound lane near mile marker 21, according to a press release from New Mexico State Police. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala, Barbara Arriola, led police on a high-speed chase before the crash occurred, the release states, but the pursuit was cancelled for safety reasons.
