The Alamogordo Daily News reports that Evan Gardner of Lakeland, Florida, was visiting relatives in Weed when the accident occurred Feb. 15. The Otero County Sheriff's Office said Gardner was traveling down a hill on a gravel road and wasn't able to make a turn before he rode the ATV off the cliff.
