    Cary Dailey, 25, and Lance Demarco Harris, 21, both of Detroit, Michigan, were convicted in federal court on Jan. 27, for prescription painkiller trafficking, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced. An investigation by the Mon Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force revealed that Dailey and Harris were involved in the distribution of oxycodone in Monongalia County, West Virginia during the fall of 2014.

No one has been charged in connection with the Nov. 14 death of Nolan Burch, 18, a pre-sports management major from Williamsville, N.Y. Police said the Monongalia County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case, and a medical examiner's report is pending.
