The 17-year-old from Cary was driving a 2001 Dodge Durango north on Terra Cotta Road in Crystal Lake when he struck a 2005 Honda Civic south of Hillside Road at 7:51 a.m., McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Aimee Knop said.
