Troopers were called to a home along the 600 block of Georgetown Road in Paradise Township just before 5:30 p.m. on Christmas night and found the body of Stephanie Kilhefner, 34. A Paradise Township man killed his wife by beating her, cutting her throat and bashing her head with an ax during an argument Christmas Eve, according to police.

    A Lebanon County man has been arrested for what authorities described as the near-fatal abuse of his infant son, state police announced Wednesday. The nine-week-old boy, suffering a series of seizures, was rushed from his home on Keller Drive in South Lebanon Township, near Myerstown, to the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz, Lancaster County, on Feb. 8. Doctors found the boy to have bleeding on his brain and behind the eyes and at least six broken ribs, according to state police.
