According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Rebecca J. Reed, of Bellevue, Neb., was driving a 2014 Chevrolet north on US-75 highway when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-packed roadway.

Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says they also took 36 year old Anthony Mitchell from Mayetta into custody along with Johnson following a vehicle pursuit in southern Jackson County at 11:30 pm Friday in which a Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a white 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier near 110th Road and southbound US Hwy 75. The vehicle slowed down and sped away failing to yield to the deputy.
