Court records indicate the city is requesting the Michigan Court of Appeals approve its motion of a stay to allow time to review its appeal or review the appeal prior to the June 11 deadline.

Despite court transcripts showing McBain said the city should pay back the remaining balance in 45 days, court records show the city has 30 days to repay or face a $1,000-per-day fine.
