    During a news conference on Thursday morning at Governor Thomas Johnson High School, local educators and elected officials called on Governor Larry Hogan to release $68.1-million dollars in state funding for public education. This money was placed in the state budget during the 2015 General Assembly, and if it's not released to local school districts, it could have dire consequences, according to Frederick County Teachers Association President Gary Brennan.
