Aguilera Highway in the Lower Valley infuriated the family of its namesake, a former Texas Department of Transportation engineer. The Commissioners Court voted 3-2 to begin changing the name of the road that will connect the new Tornillo-Guadalupe Port of Entry to Interstate 10. Commissioners Carlos Leon and Andrew Haggerty voted against changing the highway's name.
