    A Warsaw woman is hospitalized at University Hospital in Columbia with gunshot wounds she suffered during a gunfight between her husband and law enforcement officers that lasted well over three hours. According to Benton County Sheriff Rick Fajen, the gunfight incident began with a call to deputies shortly after midnight Wednesday morning concerning an accidental shooting at a home in rural western Benton County.

    The Walton Family Foundation gave a multi-million dollar grant to the Benton County Courthouse so that the interior and exterior can be renovated, according to Benton County Judge Bob Clinard. Clinard said $2 million of the nearly $3 million grant would cover the renovation on the first floor of the courthouse, including remodeling the prosecuting attorney's office.
