    As temperatures increased across the region, melting snow from the last blast of winter - that dropped a foot of snow around the county March 4-6 - has caused widespread flooding throughout the Ohio River Valley, drowning areas of Adams and Brown counties along the river and near the creeks that snake their way down toward it. According to the National Weather Service, the Ohio River crested in Cincinnati at 57.77 feet the afternoon of Sunday, March 15, nearly six feet above flood stage.
