    How crazy is that?! Although Chrysler Group contends that the expansion includes specific components that are different from the problem-ridden Takata units, the company is still going to address anyway and replace them. Sort of fishy, isn't it? Why would a company replace or fix components if that particular group of parts were determined NOT to be faulty? To be nice? To reassure customers? Because, there's a possibility that Takata itself doesn't exactly know how widespread the problem is? Chrysler isn't the first to do this as Mazda has done the exact same thing.

    FCA US, the former Chrysler Group, is recalling almost 288,000 Dodge Ram pickup trucks globally that had been under review by U.S. safety regulators over complaints that a loose fastener might cause the rear axle to lock up or detach. The 287,945 Ram full-size pickup trucks from model year 2005 are being recalled because the rear axle pinion nut may loosen, increasing the risk of a crash, according to the company and documents filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
