    One of the Carlyle Group's key performance measures beat analyst expectations by 10 cents a share and the private equity giant declared a quarterly dividend of 33 cents as the District-based firm reported first quarter 2015 earnings Wednesday morning. The company's first quarter economic net income, a popular method of measuring profitability at investment firms, was $273 million, which is down from $312 million during the first quarter a year ago but still beat analyst forecasts.
