    The New York Times this morning is reporting that architect Frank Gehry's design for the Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center site in Manhattan has been shelved, and that the center's board is studying other arts centers, including the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, as they refine their own plans. The center, according to the newspaper, has made little progress in the more than decade it has spent in the planning stages.
