    Even before kickoff on Friday, the ninth Woodland-Pioneer football game was already the odd bird of the series, what with this year's edition being the penultimate game of the year for both squads rather than the regular season end all, be all. Throw in the fact that it was Halloween, the Pioneer High School Stadium field was muddy enough to make it like playing football on a Slip 'N Slide and The Game was blessed with what passes for a streaker in the 21st century and the situation was ripe for something else the Woodland and Pioneer senior classes have never seen during their high school days.
