    Many of Winslow's critical facilities, including the hospital, emergency dispatch center, fire department, schools and wastewater treatment facility, are vulnerable to flooding while the levee remains unrepaired, according to Navajo County Assistant Manager Homero Vela. Vela explained that although plans are moving forward to rehabilitate the levee and protect the town against flooding, it is vital to keep decision-makers who authorize funding for the project aware of its importance.

    The Bulldogs defeated the Page Sand Devils 7-4 in Winslow March 7 and blanked the Roadrunners 10-0 in Holbrook on March 10. The wins improved Winslow's record to 5-2-1 for the season and gave them four straight victories. In the decision over Page Matt Ramos got the win, working five innings and giving up four runs, two of which were unearned, on just two hits and three walks while fanning seven.
