The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. yesterday announced that the late Edward H. Mayrand Jr. was identified through DNA and other evidence to the murders of Kathleen Daneault, 25, of Gardner in 1983, when Mayrand was 36, and for the death of Judith Whitney, 43, who was found in a shallow grave in Winchester, N.H., in 1987.
