He is survived by his former wife and friend, Martha L.; five children: John G. Mayhue Jr. of New Florence, Christine L. Grimes of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Stephen C. Mayhue of Coatesville, Betsey Saltsgiver of Williamsburg and William D. Mayhue of Chesapeake, Va.; 12 grandchildren: John, James, Daniel, Crystal, Sarah, Martha, Missy, Megan, Molly, Will, Alan and Hanlon; nine great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; and a sister, Helen Olewine of Altoona.

Williamsburg jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first 1:30 of the opening quarter, which proved to set the tone, as Northern Bedford never came within five points of the Blue Pirates for the rest of the game.
