Have you noticed as you cross Salt Creek Overflow on 99-E, and look to the north, that someone has cut the young trees, the brush and removed them from the creek bed? The logs, branches and debris are also gone on the north. Hopefully more creeks in Tehama County will be cleared of debris and growing plants that are barriers to the flow of water. Comment?
A former Walnut Creek woman who attended middle and high school in the city has been crowned Miss America while representing New York in the nationally televised pageant Sunday night. Miss New York Kira Kazantsev, a 2009 graduate of Las Lomas High School in downtown Walnut Creek, took the crown, marking the third year in a row that a contestant from New York has won the title in Atlantic City, N.J. The top prized earned her the crown and a $50,000 scholarship. Comment?
LOS MOLINOS >> Fresh off of winning a serving competition at the Fall River Tournament, Dani Garman stayed in top form Tuesday night earning 17 out of 21 points with her service as her Lady Bulldogs swept visiting Williams.
